Hunter Classics Tour Year 2003 in Review!

Another successful year for the Hunter Classics tour is complete!  Over $25,000 in cash and prizes were awarded to the Hunter Classics tour members and we celebrated Ten Years!!!

145 ladies from around the world competed in the Hunter Classics Tour in the year 2003.  The average attendance was 41 ladies per stop.

Year in Summary:
1st stop:
27 ladies competed at Corner Pocket in Albuquerque, NM on January 18-19. Nine ladies paid the qualifier.  Terri Kelley from the Dallas area won the tournament and the WPBA Qualifier.  Phoebe Choy from Hawaii came in second.

Stephanie Croft won the 2nd chance tournament.

2nd stop:
56 ladies competed at Fast Eddies in Round Rock, TX on February 22nd and 23rd.  This was the first time Fast Eddies hosted the event and the ladies loved the new room and the room loved the ladies!  Julia Gabriel from Illinois double dipped Deanna Henson in the finals to win her first Hunter Classics tournament. Julia also won the WPBA Qualifier. 

Stephanie Croft won the 2nd chance tournament.

3rd Stop
40 ladies competed at Paradise Billiards in Denver, Colorado June 21-22. 18 ladies paid the Qualifier fee.  Phoebe Choy won the WPBA Qualifier and the tournament.  Leslie Anne Rogers from the Dallas/Fort Worth area came in second.

Julia Gabriel won the 2nd chance tournament.

4th stop:
45 women played at Speed's Billiards in Arlington, TX on July 12-13.  Orietta Strickland won the tournament.  Terri Kelley came in second and won the WPBA Qualifier (and almost won the tournament by winning the first of two sets in the finals).    

Deanna Henson won the 2nd chance tournament.

5th stop:
50 women came to compete for the Coors Light (free) WPBA Qualifier spot for the WPBA Nationals at Legend's Billiards in League City on August 9-10.  Lisa Marr won the tournament and the Qualifier by double dipping Rachel Hurst in the finals.  Rachel claimed her highest finish yet by placing second.

Kristin Haney won the 2nd chance tournament.

6th stop:
23 women came to compete in Las Vegas at Pool Sharks on September 20-21. Lisa Marr won the tournament and the WPBA Qualifier.  Toni Tucker came in second and won the first set of two in the finals.  

Lucille Donahue won the 2nd chance tournament.

7th stop:
The year ended with a bang at Big Daddy's in Alvin, TX with 45 women coming to compete and also to celebrate in the Ten Year Anniversary Party!!  Leslie Anne Rogers won the tournament, the WPBA Qualifier and became the Tour Champion by earning the most points over the season.  Deanna Henson came in second place, and made it a close one by winning the first set out of two in the finals.

Melinda Bailey won the 2nd chance tournament.
 

The year 2003 saw many veteran Hunter Classics players along with numerous new faces.  The goal of the Hunter Classics Tour is to provide a friendly, respectful, and competitive environment for ALL levels of women to compete. 

A great deal of the Hunter Classics Tour success is due to the all the supportive players that love pool and come to the events to challenge themselves.  The Hunter Classics Tour is the largest, highest paying, longest running regional women's tour in the United States!
